Arsenal attacker Andrey Arshavin hopes improvement in his own form can help the Gunners renew their challenge for the Premier League title.
The Russian joined Arsene Wenger s men from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2009 and started life in London in glittering form.
His performances in the past year or so have waned, however, and the 30-year-old is well aware that he should be providing greater inspiration for the rest of the Arsenal squad.
Arsenal have made a horrendous start to the Premier League season, with just two wins from sevens outings so far, and Arshavin said he was determined to help them recover.
He told the club s official website: They should expect more from me, of course.
They should expect some more tricks, goals and unbelievable passes.
To be honest I am still expecting more from me as well. But believe me, I do everything I can do.
I just have to give everything I can at the moment, just on the pitch. I want to score more goals and bring my team to the title.
So far this season the Russian has scored just one goal for the Gunners in eight appearances.
