It s not exactly normal service resumed , given that the games are now being played behind closed doors, but the fans of the Spanish top flight will certainly have welcomed seeing their heroes back in action, if only on TV.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reintroduced himself to the Champions League in style with two goals in Liverpool s 4-1 win over Genk.
The England midfielder s last appearance in the competition came in the 2018 semi-final, when he suffered a serious knee injury that decimated a year of his career.
Recalled to Jurgen Klopp s midfield alongside Naby Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain s second-minute opener took a slight deflection but a majestic second before the hour was emphatically all his own work.
Substitute Stephen Odey swivelled to finish in the 88th minute a deserved reward for Genk s attacking endeavours although Sadio Mane and the returning Mohamed Salah had put the result way beyond doubt by that stage.
Genk quickly faced a tall order when Oxlade-Chamberlain w…

Looking to make it three domestic victories on the spin in midweek, Houston will travel to BC Place when they meet Vancouver in the early hours of Thursday.
Starting with the hosts, crashing back down to earth last weekend thanks to a downbeat 3-1 loss away at St. Louis City, Vancouver will certainly be glad to make a return to home soil here. Despite losing three of their last four meetings against MLS opposition, the Caps do have the feel of a squad seeking some much-needed stability. However, although Vanni Sartini’s men might have recorded just a sole MLS clean sheet since the end of April, they have continued on an eye-catching flurry at BC Place. Last seen in front of their own supporters grabbing a deserved 2-0 wi…
